Mysuru: Mysuru MP Yaduveer Wadiyar on Friday visited Cheluvamba Hospital in KR Hospital premises following allegations of the death of a newborn by ant bites in the ICU in the hospital.Parents of the newborn alleged that a 7-month-old premature male baby, weighing 1.4kg, died due to ant bites at the ICU, allegedly due to medical negligence by the hospital administrators. They also staged a protest outside the hospital on Thursday, demanding justice.Following this development, the BJP MP visited the hospital to take stock of the situation. The MP inspected all the wards and the ICU along with dean and director of MMCRI, Dr K R Dakshayini.The MP enquired about the health of patients, facilities provided for them in the hospital, and the needs of the hospital.He gave directions to Dr Dakshayini to prepare the list of requirements, facilities needed for the hospital. The MP promised to look into the demands of the hospital.When patients demanded hot water facility, the MP immediately ordered the purchase of a water heater dispenser, and handed it over to the hospital management.
