Bhilwara/Jaipur: Eleven stone slabs forming the roof of a verandah collapsed Thursday night at the Govt Higher Secondary School in Jashma village of Chittorgarh district. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident as it happened at night while the school was closed for summer vacations. The incident has, however, raised fresh concerns over the condition of Rajasthan’s govt school infrastructure, especially as it comes amid a statewide inspection of school buildings ordered following the collapse of one such structure in Piplod village of Jhalawar last year that killed seven students. tnn
