Italian luxury label Roberto Cavalli has a new home. The company is now nestled under global brand management Marquee Brands’ portfolio. On Wednesday, Marquee Brands entered a definitive agreement for a majority stake in Roberto Cavalli in partnership with Dubai-based luxury real estate developer DAMAC Group.
“Roberto Cavalli stands as one of luxury’s defining Italian houses, with a bold creative identity and enduring brand ethos,” Marquee Brands CEO Heath Golden said in a statement. “We see extraordinary potential to build on that foundation through thoughtful brand stewardship and strategic expansion. In partnership with DAMAC, a leader in luxury real estate, we will continue to elevate the Roberto Cavalli experience worldwide.”
Roberto Cavalli is now the 22nd brand (and the lone luxury label) in Marquee Brands’ portfolio, which also includes Martha Stewart, Laura Ashley, Sur La Table, BCBGMAXAZRIA and Stance. The undisclosed transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026. DAMAC Group will remain a “significant shareholder” once the deal is finalized, according to a press release.

The late Roberto Cavalli launched his eponymous brand in Florence in 1970 and soon made his mark on the fashion industry with his eye-catching prints and shimmering designs. The label, which is currently helmed by Fausto Puglisi, boasts celebrity fans including Taylor Swift, Beyoncé and Megan Thee Stallion.
As for Roberto Cavalli’s next steps, Marquee Brands plans to introduce new categories, services and experiential touchpoints across global markets. DAMAC aims to scale the brand’s presence through Roberto Cavalli-branded residences and hospitality projects. Milan-based The Level Group will lead the development, manufacturing and distribution of Roberto Cavalli’s women’s and men’s collections.
This move follows multiple recent fashion industry acquisitions, including WHP Global and G-III buying Marc Jacobs from LVMH and Shein snatching up Everlane.
