Srinagar, July 23: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Thursday said that the administration is closely monitoring the rising water levels in the River Jhelum amid continued vigilance by field teams across the Valley.

In a post on X, Garg said that Control Rooms at both the divisional and district levels are functioning round the clock to coordinate preventive and remedial measures in view of the evolving situation.

He urged residents living near the river embankments not to panic, but to remain alert and strictly follow advisories issued by the local administration.

The Divisional Commissioner also advised the public to contact the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC), Srinagar, at 0194-2740003 for any assistance or emergency support.
