Ranchi: A 16-bedded state-of-the-art intensive care unit (ICU) was inaugurated at Rims oncology building on Thursday, aimed at providing faster and more advanced treatment to critically ill cancer patients.Equipped with modern medical equipment and advanced monitoring systems, the ICU is expected to enhance the hospital’s capacity to handle high-risk oncology cases requiring intensive supervision and specialised care. Hospital authorities said the new facility will reduce delays in critical interventions and improve patient outcomes.While inaugurating the facility, Rims director Raj Kumar said the addition marks a major step forward in strengthening healthcare services at the institute. “This ICU represents a significant milestone in our efforts to deliver high-quality and timely treatment to patients. We are committed to further upgrading facilities to ensure comprehensive and accessible care,” he said.
