Guwahati: Assam Royal Global University (RGU) is ready to fully implement NEP 2020, with students entering the final year under the four-year undergraduate programme (FYUGP).University officials said RGU has brought into force the necessary statutory provisions through appropriate amendments. “RGU is offering the FYUGP in 37 programs, which are over and above 14 other four-year professional programmes being offered by the university,” RGU said in a statement.Vice-chancellor Prof. Alak Kumar Buragohain said the university remains committed to research and that departments are preparing specific plans for meaningful graduate research based on the students’ aptitude, supported by training from experienced faculty.As admission procedures for the fourth year are underway, RGU has added infrastructure to support the expanded academic load in terms of classrooms, laboratories, seminar halls, and library facilities.“With respect to the academic strategies for the four-year degree with honours and with honours-cum-research, the academic council of the university has also granted due approvals to the necessary syllabi,” an university official said.
