Mohali: Angry over the poor condition of sealed roads in Phase 7, residents along with municipal councillor Anuradha Anand staged a road blockade in ward 12 Thursday, demanding immediate repairs.The protesters raised slogans against the Punjab govt and alleged that damaged road stretches had become a safety hazard for commuters. Anand said accidents were being reported regularly due to the deteriorating condition of the roads.“Accidents are happening every day because of these roads. The authorities must act before more people are injured,” she said.Anand alleged that despite repeated complaints, the authorities had failed to repair the roads or restore smooth traffic movement. She said residents were frustrated over the delay and wanted visible improvements in basic infrastructure rather than assurances.The protesters demanded that the affected stretches be repaired at the earliest and made safe for motorists and pedestrians.
