Chennai: The 55th national safety day was celebrated on Wednesday at Renault Group Chennai plant (RNAIPL) where director of industrial safety and health S Anand spoke on the importance of occupational safety. He said minor risks should not be ignored in the prevention of accidents and emphasised the need for concerted efforts. Attention should be given to eliminate the unsafe acts and conditions prevailing at work place, he added. Around 150 participants including workers, supervisors and other management representatives were present at the event.
