A political controversy erupted in Rajarhat-Gopalpur on Thursday after govt relief materials were allegedly recovered from the office of former Trinamool MLA Aditi Munshi. Following a tip-off, BJP MLA Tarunjyoti Tewari visited the premises near Baguiati bus stand on Thursday, where a search led to recovery of public goods. Tewari alleged that multiple rooms were being used to illegally store items meant for public distribution, including tarpaulins, sarees, and dhotis, alongside intoxicating substances. Allegations also surfaced that document caches and weapons were recovered from the nearby office of Indranath Bagui, a close aide of ex-BMC councillor Debraj Chakraborty.
