Kolkata: The second supplementary list has brought relief for a couple of Trinamool candidates even though it has increased anxiety for nine others. Senior Bengal cabinet minister Shashi Panja made it to the list, as did Birbhum Trinamool neta Kajal Sheikh. However, from junior minister Golam Rabbani to the party’s Uttarpara candidate Shirshanya Banerjee — a senior govt lawyer — nine others remain under adjudication.The adjudication list includes Trinamool candidates for Goalpokhor in North Dinajpur; Mothabari in Malda; Samserganj, Lalgola, and Nowda in Murshidabad; Chanditala in Hooghly; and Deganga in North 24 Parganas.Omitted initially, former Calcutta High Court judge Sahidullah Munshi and his family members have been included in the second supplementary list published late on Friday night. Retired in 2020, Justice Munshi is now the chairperson of state Auqaf Board. tnn
