Reliance Communications on Thursday said the damage caused by a fire at its office premises in Navi Mumbai is covered under insurance, and the company has initiated the process of reporting the incident to its insurer.
“The damage caused due to the fire accident is covered under insurance. The Company is in the process of reporting the incident to the insurance company,” Reliance Communications said in their exchange filing.
The fire, which broke out on June 3 at the Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City facility housing some of the company’s IT servers, impacted certain system modules, office infrastructure, and electronic equipment, the company said.
The company has clarified that the fire was promptly attended to and brought under control by the emergency response team and concerned authorities; however, some system modules and infrastructure were also impacted due to damage caused. Further confirming that there were no human injuries or casualties reported.
