The registration is being conducted for 56,754 seats in 1,165 colleges in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: The registration process for admission to paramedical courses after Class 12 has finally been announced. Students can apply online from May 29 to June 12 for admission to nearly 10 paramedical courses in Gujarat.According to official details, the registration is being conducted for 56,754 seats in 1,165 colleges. Of these, around 50,930 seats are currently offered in various nursing courses alone. Additionally, nearly 200 applications for new colleges are under consideration, which may further increase the number of available seats, especially in nursing. This year, delays in the medical admission process due to issues surrounding the NEET exam impacted the timeline of related courses. Since paramedical admissions typically begin after the completion of medical admissions, there was a possibility of significant delays. To avoid this, authorities have initiated the registration process in advance. The courses include BSc nursing, bachelor of physiotherapy, auxiliary nursing midwifery (ANM), general nursing and midwifery (GNM), bachelor of optometry (BOptom), bachelor of occupational therapy (BOT), bachelor of prosthetics and orthotics (BPO) , bachelor of audiology and speech-language pathology (BASLP), and bachelor of naturopathy and yogic sciences (BNYS).After completing online registration, students must upload their documents and get them verified at designated help centres by June 13. Authorities have approved 145 help centres across the state for document verification, and students must book prior appointments for the same.Officials also stated that if supplementary exam results are declared during the registration period, a fresh registration window will be opened for those students. However, the actual admission process for paramedical courses will begin only after the completion of medical admissions, making the final schedule uncertain.
