Gorakhpur: The impact of govt welfare schemes will now be showcased through 60-second social media reels featuring beneficiaries whose lives have undergone a real transformation.The initiative, titled ‘Seva Ki Kahani’, is part of the month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan beginning Septr 17 to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s tenure in public life. In Gorakhpur, stories of 37,500 beneficiaries from rural and urban areas will be turned into short videos highlighting how govt schemes have changed their lives.Officials said the reels will focus on beneficiaries’ struggles, the assistance received under a scheme and their present situation, with beneficiaries narrating their own experiences.District magistrate Deepak Meena said the initiative would not only highlight the impact of welfare schemes, but also encourage others to avail themselves of benefits for which they are eligible. “The stories will inspire people by showing how schemes can change the life of poor families, farmers, women, students, sportspersons and youths,” he said.The reels will cover schemes, including PM-CM housing, Ujjwala, Ayushman Bharat, agriculture, education, food distribution, social welfare and urban development.Of the 37,500 reels planned, 6,000 will focus on child development and nutrition, 5,000 each on rural development, agriculture and education, 4,000 on Panchayati Raj, 5,000 on food supply, 2,000 each on health, urban bodies and infrastructure projects, 1,000 on social-sector schemes and 500 on sports.
