Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Sunday said he is ready for a debate in assembly and council on the 10-year BRS rule, the two-and-a- half-year Congress regime in Telangana or the 12-year BJP rule at the Centre.Speaking at a public meeting after participating in various developmental programmes in Nalgonda on Sunday, Revanth Reddy said BRS leaders were claiming that people want the pink party to return to power and KCR (K Chandrasekhar Rao) as the CM of the state. “It is not people’s wish. KCR’s family wants BRS to return to power. Telangana society has permanently boycotted BRS and the Kalvakuntla family in the assembly elections,” he added. He asked BRS leaders to write a letter to the assembly speaker and council chairman for the debate on governance and Congress was ready to convene a special session to discuss it, including manifestos and promises delivered. The CM alleged that BRS, which borrowed Rs 8.11 lakh crore during its 10-year rule, caused destruction enough for 100 years.Revanth Reddy laid foundations for the 6,100-km hybrid annuity mode ( HAM) roads being taken up with Rs 13,000 crore by the roads and buildings department and a drinking water project, taken up at a cost of Rs 83 crore, in the Nalgonda Municipal Corporation. The CM also declared that Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) and the Musi rejuvenation programmes would be completed before the next assembly election and end water woes and pollution issues of the Nalgonda populace. He declared that Congress would remain in power till 2034.Taking potshots at BRS leaders over sacrifices during the Telangana movement, Revanth Reddy said during the first Telangana movement, Konda Laxman Bapuji gave up his ministerial post for statehood and in the second phase of the movement, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy also sacrificed his ministerial position for the state and even undertook an indefinite hunger strike for the separate state.Stating that some people were questioning what Congress had done in the two-and-a-half years, he said BRS had not given a single ration card, while the grand old party issued lakhs of ration cards. “The state govt is supplying six kg rice to 3.38 crore people at a cost of Rs 16,000 crore a year,” he said. The CM said as many as 4.50 lakh Indiramma houses were sanctioned and provided free electricity up to 200 units to poor families.“Through farm loan waiver, Rythu Bharosa, paddy bonus and other welfare schemes, the state govt has spent Rs 1.56 lakh crore on farmers in the two-and-a-half years,” Revanth Reddy said. Congress filled 70,000 jobs in various govt departments in just 30 months, he added. He asked whether BRS, which he claimed was responsible for all wrongdoings, should come back to power again or Congress should be punished for disbursing Rs 27,000 crore Rythu Bharosa, waiving Rs 20,000 crore to farm loans, bringing Skill University and implementing many welfare schemes.Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, and N Uttam Kumar Reddy and council chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy participated in the public meeting.
