For RCB, Virat Kohli was back in the starting XI after he played the last match as the impact player. Kohli did not field in RCB’s last match and only came out to bat.
However, Rasikh Salam Dar was not named in the XI but he is expected to come in the second innings to bowl.
Both teams went with the same side and did not make any changes to their combination from their last games.
“I am going to bowl first. The wicket looks good and hard. Chinnaswamy is obviously a good chasing ground. Same XI. (On having a long break) It’s good to have that break after losing a couple of games. We need to focus on our strengths,” Axar Patel said at the toss.
Meanwhile, RCB skipper Rajat Patidar said, ” I am happy because we wanted to bat first. We’ll look to post a good total on the board. We have this (green) jersey to encourage. We are playing with the same side.”
