The 53-year-old fell while performing his 2004 song, ‘Jolene,’ on the guitar in front of hundreds of fans, who captured the fall on video and shared the news online. Following concerns over the singer’s health, his team posted a short update about his well-being on social media.

The veteran singer had been performing in Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium as part of his ‘Trouble 20th Anniversary tour.’ In many videos shared on TikTok, the singer was seen on stage playing his guitar while strumming along to the vocals of his 2004 song ‘Jolene.’ By the end of the performance, the star looked visibly uncomfortable, made some sounds, grabbed onto the mic stand in front of him and later collapsed on his back.LaMontagne’s team later shared an update about his health following concerning comments from fans. The post was shared to his Instagram Stories; however, it has since been removed from his page. It read, “Thank you to everyone who came out to tonight’s show at the Ryman. Ray is in good hands with the local EMS and is being treated for heat-related dehydration; he is doing well now and is grateful for everyone’s understanding.” The ‘You Are The Best Thing’ singer is currently on tour to celebrate the anniversary of his debut album.He is next planning to perform in venues in Philadelphia, Detroit, Boston, Portland, and New York City. The tour will finally come to an end on October 3.
