Jaipur: Rajasthan Police will launch a 15-day statewide helmet awareness and enforcement campaign from July 2, making helmet use mandatory for both two-wheeler riders and pillion passengers.The drive, which will run till July 16, has been ordered by DGP Rajeev Kumar Sharma as part of the state’s Road Safety Strategy to cut road accident deaths by 50% by 2030.Police will focus on rural areas, where helmet compliance remains low. Along with awareness programmes, strict enforcement will target helmet violations, speeding, illegal parking and lane discipline on highways and expressways, officials said.
