Jaipur: In a major bureaucratic reshuffle, the state govt Thursday transferred 25 IAS officers. While the additional chief secretary (ACS) to the chief minister, Bhajan Lal Sharma, Akhil Arora, was relieved of the charges of PHED, ACS (Energy) Ajitabh Sharma was sent out of the Secretariat and made the chairperson of the Revenue Board, Ajmer, and the Rural Non-Farm Development Agency (RUDA). On the other hand, ACS Aparna Arora was transferred from the social justice and empowerment department to the mines and petroleum department in the same position, and IAS Sreya Guha, who was ACS in charge of the rural development department, was also sent out of the Secretariat and made the director general of HCM RIPA and the managing director and chairperson of Rajasthan Financial Corporation.Meanwhile, Alok Gupta, who was the chairperson of the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board, was transferred to the urban development and housing department as an ACS, replacing Debashish Prusty, who will now take Gupta’s position.IAS Rajesh Kumar Yadav will now take charge of the school education and Sanskrit education department as the ACS, and ACS Dinesh Kumar will take charge of the social justice and empowerment department and child rights department, along with administrative reforms and coordination. IAS Arti Dogra, chairperson Discoms and MD JVVNL, will also hold the charge of energy as the secretary. ACS PWD Praveen Gupta was relieved of the charge of the tourism, art and culture departments. He was given the charge of the youth affairs and sports departments along with PWD, and Suchi Tyagi, who was secretary to the transport department, was given the charge of tourism, art and culture. IAS Bhawani Singh Detha, who was in charge of the women and child development department, will now take charge of the transport department as the principal secretary. Saravana Kumar, who was secretary and commissioner in the science and technology department, has been appointed the divisional commissioner of Jaipur, replacing Poonam, who will now hold the charge of women and child development as the secretary. Hemant Gera, who was the chairperson of the Revenue Board, will now take charge of PHED as the principal secretary; Krishna Kunal, who was in charge of school education, will now take charge of the rural development department as the secretary. IAS P C Kishan has been appointed secretary to the labour dept.
