Jaipur: Rajasthan will launch month-long Viksit Bharat–Jan Seva Abhiyan from Sept 17 to Oct 17, with the state govt planning a series of public service and community participation programmes.Chief secretary V Srinivas Saturday directed departments to make necessary preparations and ensure maximum public participation during the campaign.The campaign, aimed at promoting public participation towards the goals of ‘Viksit Bharat’ and strengthening the spirit of public service, social concern and good governance, will see a range of activities organised across districts.These will include blood donation camps, painting, speech and essay competitions in educational institutions, screening of inspirational videos, felicitation of ASHA Sahyoginis and Anganwadi workers, student rallies, shramdaan and community activities.Public service camps, rangoli displays and programmes promoting innovation will also be organised during the month-long campaign.Srinivas issued the directions while reviewing the progress of govt schemes, the campaign’s action plan and other key issues at a meeting held on Saturday.The CS also directed officials to step up efforts to prevent lumpy skin disease among cattle, calling for 100% vaccination, isolation of infected animals and a widespread public awareness campaign.He asked officials to continuously monitor the disease situation in districts and ensure immediate action wherever required.
