Jaipur: Rajasthan received a total of Rs 1.2 lakh crore from the Centre in the financial year 2025-26 through grants under centrally sponsored schemes, the Scheme for Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASKI), Finance Commission recommendations, and the state’s share in central taxes, marking the highest-ever annual inflow compared to the previous govt’s tenure.Officials attributed the surge to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma’s active efforts, improved coordination with the Centre, and efficient implementation of schemes across key sectors such as health, rural development, education, drinking water, agriculture and infrastructure. In March alone, the state received about Rs 19,000 crore, significantly boosting developmental spending.Under SASKI, which provides interest-free loans for capital expenditure, Rajasthan received Rs 10,548 crore in 2025-26, compared to Rs 7,290 crore during the previous govt from 2020-21 to 2022-23. Additionally, Rs 13,658 crore was released under centrally sponsored schemes operating on the SNA-SPARSH platform (SNA-SPARSH is a tech-enabled system that ensures timely, real-time release of funds for Centrally Sponsored Schemes), while Rs 15,666 crore was received under Finance Commission recommendations and other schemes.In the health sector, the state secured over Rs 2,693 crore under the 15th Finance Commission in 2025-26, the highest in the past five years
