BJP national media co-convenor Siddharth Yadav cited past incidents and said the Leader of Opposition had gone a step further this time.
“Earlier, Rahul Gandhi would go to London and raise complaints against Indian democracy. He would go to the US and speak of interference in India’s democracy. He once said that, ‘We have to fight the Indian state itself,'” Yadav told media persons.
“But now Rahul Gandhi appears to be a puppet of foreign billionaires. India is a sovereign country, and its policies are made in India’s Parliament, not on X. The Government of India will make decisions that are in the interest of its own people. But what has changed in just one year that the Congress party, which itself used to speak against Starlink until a year ago, is now speaking in favour of Starlink?”

The statement came after an exchange of posts on X between Starlink owner Elon Musk and Rahul Gandhi, in which Musk raised regulatory hurdles to Starlink getting a licence in India while naming an Indian business house.
Yadav asked whether the Congress and Rahul Gandhi were looking towards foreign tycoons for political funding.
“Anyone who wants to become a puppet of foreign wealthy tycoons to influence these policies in India, the people of the country are watching their intentions,” he added.
