R Madhavan has been the talk of the town because of his portrayal of Ajay Sanyal in ‘Dhurandhar 2’ which released on March 19. The film is breaking records and every actor in the film is getting accolades. Amidst fame and success, R Madhavan continues to lead a life based on his values and principles and is aware of the responsibilities which come with popularity. He’s also taught that to his son Vedaant who is a swimmer and has secured five gold medals at the Malaysian Open, along with a gold and a silver at the Danish Open. He has also clinched bronze medals at both the Latvian Open and the Thailand Open, and finished an impressive fifth at the Commonwealth Youth Games. With Vedaant himself getting popularity and fame, Madhavan had once told him about the responsibilities that come with it. He had said during an old chat with Miss Malini, “You can’t be seen with your shirt off and sleeping in any bed because one photograph of you in that kind of pose is national news. You can’t afford to be as carefree as your friends. You bear the responsibility of being recognised and being a role model’.” He also expressed how proud he was as a father, “It feels really proud when common man comes up and says, ‘we like your work, but we are so proud of you because of Vedaant’.” At the same time, he acknowledged the unique life his son leads, adding, “But I had to tell him that you know your life, unfortunately or fortunately, is going to be privileged because you’re my son.” On the work front, Madhavan is set to reunite with his ‘Tanu Weds Manu‘ co-star Kangana Ranaut for a pan-India psychological thriller helmed by AL Vijay.
