Patna: Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs) will be organised across 68,000 primary schools across the state on May 9 under the theme ‘Our Child, Our Responsibility’. In this regard, director of primary education Vikram Virkar, on Wednesday issued a directive to all district education officers and district programme officers (SSA).In his communication, he stated that the objective of this initiative is to make parents aware that both schools and families share equal responsibility in a child’s learning and overall development. Parents will be encouraged to ensure regular school attendance of their children, along with creating a supportive and conducive learning environment at home.He further instructed district officials to ensure that class-wise parent-teacher meetings are conducted effectively in all primary schools, and that maximum participation of parents is secured to strengthen the collaboration between schools and families.
