Vadodara: Professor R C Patel, former vice chancellor of the Indian Institute of Teacher Education (IITE), has been conferred the Eminent Teacher Educator Award by the Indian Association of Teacher Educators in recognition of his contribution to the field of teacher education.
The award was presented by Raju Basnet, minister for education, law, sports and youth affairs, Govt of Sikkim, in the presence of Professor Swain, vice chancellor of Sikkim University, and Professor Mohammad Miyan, former vice chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University. The ceremony was held recently in Gangtok and attended by academicians and education leaders from across the country.
