Prof Rajendra Singh State University introduces new physical education courses for aspiring educators

Prof Rajendra Singh (Rajju Bhaiya) University has announced the introduction of four new courses in the upcoming academic session. The courses being launched include Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd), Master of Physical Education (MPEd), and combined BSc-BEd and BA-BEd programmes. These additions will proceed following formal approval from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

The decision to introduce these courses was made during a recent Board of Studies meeting at the university. During this meeting, the university also took steps to apply for the necessary recognition from NCTE to ensure that these new programmes meet the required educational standards.

The university plans to start accepting admissions for these programmes pending the approval from the NCTE. “As per the initial proposal, 50 seats will be offered in each of the four courses,” a university spokesperson stated, detailing the scope of enrollment for aspiring students in these new offerings.

With the implementation of these courses, Prof Rajendra Singh State University aims to enhance its curriculum in physical education and teaching. This move is expected to benefit students looking to develop their skills and knowledge in this field, catering to a growing demand for qualified professionals.

The introduction of BPEd and MPEd caters to those seeking undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in physical education. Meanwhile, the BSc-BEd and BA-BEd programmes are designed to train students in integrated education, combining science or arts with teaching methodologies.

Once the NCTE grants the necessary approvals, the programmes are expected to attract a significant number of applications, given the growing interest in physical education careers. The university administration is keen on supporting the next generation of educators and professionals in this domain, ensuring that they receive quality education and training.
