Bhubaneswar: Retired IAS officer Pradeep Kumar Jena has resigned as the chairperson of Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC), with the state govt accepting his resignation, an energy department notification said on Monday.A former chief secretary, Jena had taken over as OERC chairman on April 8, 2025. He cited “personal reasons” for stepping down. At 62, he could have continued in the post for up to three more years, as the tenure is five years or until the age of 65, whichever is earlier. Govt sources said another retired bureaucrat will be appointed to the position soon while Jena may be moved to a new advisory position.
