Patna: Patliputra University (PPU) on Tuesday held a meeting of its college development council (CDC), chaired by vice-chancellor Upendra Prasad Singh, at the university headquarters, where a development road map was prepared for the next two, five and 15 years.PPU registrar Abu Bakar said the council discussed a vision plan for the university and its colleges, focusing on infrastructure, technology, sustainability, student facilities and academic growth. Over two years, the focus will be on developing the new campus at Bakhtiyarpur as a modern, environment-friendly institution with a green campus and solar power plants.The five-year vision aims to make the university digital and paperless, promoting technology-driven academic and administrative processes and reducing paperwork, Bakar said.Under the 15-year vision, the Bakhtiyarpur campus is planned as a comprehensive educational hub with expanded hostels, sports fields and other facilities for PG students. “The long-term plan will focus on creating infrastructure capable of meeting the growing requirements of students and the university community,” he said.The council also decided to review the vision plan regularly. Two CDC meetings will be held annually to assess project progress, review targets and make necessary changes, Bakar said. Senior university officials and CDC members attended the meeting.
