Patna: Patliputra University (PPU) on Tuesday made its ‘Student Sahyog Shivir‘ functional at the university headquarters here to provide quick solutions to students’ problems. The initiative has been launched under the state education policy slogan ‘Sabka Samman, Jeevan Aasan ‘.The ‘shivir’ was inaugurated by state higher education director N K Agarwal at a function chaired by PPU vice-chancellor Upendra Prasad Singh. The newly established facility will focus on addressing students’ grievances on priority and ensuring timely redressal of their issues’, Singh said adding the shivir is likely to benefit students pursuing their career at UG, PG and PhD level studies at different colleges of the university.According to PPU registrar Abu Bakar, the ‘Students’ Sahyog Shivir’ will be organised every month. Students will be able to submit complaints and seek solutions related to admissions, examinations, results, scholarships and other academic matters. He said the initiative is intended to provide a single platform for direct communication between students and university authorities and to reduce delays in resolving problems. University officials, college principals and students were present at the inaugural programme.
