Rourkela: A 20-year-old truck driver trapped inside mangled remains of his vehicle for six hours after a collision with another truck was rescued by firemen on Wednesday.The accident took place on State Highway 10 under Brahmani Tarang police station limits around 2.30 am, when a speeding truck rammed into a stationary truck from behind. The impact severely damaged the front portion of the vehicle, trapping the driver inside the cabin.Locals alerted authorities, following which two fire service teams, along with Brahmani Tarang police, rushed to the spot. Rescue personnel used cutting equipment to access the cabin and extricate the driver.The injured driver, identified as Pappu Yadav, suffered a fracture in one leg and minor injuries. He was rescued around 8.30 am and shifted to Rourkela Govt Hospital, where his condition is stated to be stable.Police have seized both vehicles and are investigating the incident.
