Hassan: Two days after 28-year-old Priyanka went missing from Arehalli in Belur taluk, Hassan police on Saturday traced her belongings in three different locations within Hassan Rural police limits on Saturday.However, the family suspects foul play. They said Priyanka was wearing jewellery worth lakhs of rupees when she disappeared. The miscreants may have wanted her jewellery and may have harmed her for her valuables, her aunt Soumya said.Priyanka, who was married to a man from Kunigal in Tumakuru, had travelled to Chikkamagaluru for a marriage. She went missing after boarding a bus. However, her family has registered a Zero FIR with Belur police, who have transferred the same to Arehalli police.Hassan SP Shubhanwitha told TOI that the police have obtained strong leads in the case. Priyanka’s last mobile phone call was reported at 8.07pm within Hassan Rural police limits on Thursday, she said, adding Priyanka left Bikkodu around 6.30pm the same evening.The SP said Priyanka’s dress, slippers, and vanity bag were traced at three different locations near a lake in Hassan rural. “Three teams have been formed to investigate the case, and they were working on technical evidence,” she added.According to Soumya, Priyanka attended her phone call at 8.07pm and told her that she was accompanied by a known person. The call got disconnected before she could reveal who it was. Minutes later, Priyanka’s phone was switched off, and she has been missing since.
