T’puram: Two Class IX students of Attingal Govt High School have been reported missing since Tuesday morning, triggering a police search in the Attingal area.The missing students are residents of Chirayinkeezhu and Vakkom, respectively. According to police, both girls left their homes in the morning after informing their families that they were going to school. However, they did not reach the campus and failed to return home later in the day.Family members said the girls were last seen wearing their school uniforms, raising concerns about their safety. When repeated attempts to contact them proved unsuccessful, their parents approached the police and filed missing complaints.Following this, Attingal police registered separate missing person cases and launched a probe. Police teams have begun collecting information from family members, school authorities and classmates to trace the girls’ movements. CCTV footage from nearby locations, bus stops and other public transport points is also being examined.Officials said efforts are under way to determine whether the students boarded any public transport after leaving home and to identify possible links that may help track their whereabouts. Police have urged public to share any information that could assist in locating the girls.
