Mohali: Police have issued a detailed route advisory for spectators travelling to the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, where IPL matches are scheduled to be held on March 31 and April 11. Commuters have been advised to follow designated routes to ensure smooth traffic movement and avoid congestion in and around the venue.Mohali police said several routes would remain closed for vehicular traffic approaching the cricket stadium on March 31, and visitors are advised to follow the route advisory. Around 2,500 to 3,000 police personnel will be deployed to maintain law and order on the day of the match. Additional forces will be brought in from various districts and paramilitary forces.Routes from Dakshin MargTravellers approaching from Dakshin Marg are advised to turn left at the Mullanpur-Chandigarh barrier towards the Baddi-Kurali road. From there, they should take a left near Omaxe Ship Building to access PR-7 (Airport Road), followed by another left turn towards Stadium Road, leading to the venue. As an alternative, commuters can continue straight on the Baddi-Kurali road after the barrier and take a left turn near Eco City 1 Township. This route connects to Stadium Road via PR-6, providing another access point to the stadium.Routes from Airport Road Visitors travelling via PR-7 (Airport Road) from Baddi or Kurali side can proceed straight and take a right turn towards Stadium Road. This route offers direct connectivity to the stadium and is expected to handle a significant portion of incoming traffic.From PGI-Madhya MargThose coming from the PGI–Madhya Marg stretch should drive towards Baddi-Kurali road and take a left to join PR-7 (Airport Road). From there, a further left turn towards Stadium Road will lead to the stadium.Alternatively, commuters can turn left at the Mullanpur-Chandigarh barrier towards Kurali and then take a left near Eco City 1 Township, reaching Stadium Road via PR-6.Authorities have urged visitors to plan their travel in advance, adhere to traffic guidelines, and use designated parking areas to avoid inconvenience.
