Ramgarh: Police Commemoration Day was observed at the Police Centre in Ramgarh on Wednesday, with senior officers and personnel paying homage to police personnel who laid down their lives in the line of duty.During the programme, SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat and other police officials offered floral tributes at the Martyrs’ Memorial and observed a two-minute silence in memory of the fallen personnel. Condolences were also expressed to the families of the martyrs.Addressing the gathering, SP Lunayat recalled the sacrifices made by police personnel in safeguarding the country’s internal security and maintaining law and order. He said the police department stands firmly with the families of martyrs and that their sacrifices would always be remembered.Police Commemoration Day is observed across the country on Oct 21 to honour the memory of police personnel who made the supreme sacrifice in the discharge of their duties. During the programme, the names of the martyrs were read out and tributes paid to them.
