Kanpur: Chakeri police arrested an alleged vehicle thief at Uttam ITI in Sanigwan, Kanpur, on Wednesday night and recovered three motorcycles and a scooter from him.The accused, identified as Satendra Kumar alias Mayank Tiwari alias Satya, is a resident of Charai village under Jafarganj police station in Fatehpur.ACP Chakeri Ashutosh Kumar Singh said the accused had been released from Bindki jail in Fatehpur about 1.5 months ago in connection with a vehicle theft case registered at Bindki police station.Police said the accused travelled by bus from Fatehpur to Ramadevi Chauraha, stole motorcycles and scooters, and fled towards Fatehpur and Unnao.Police are questioning him and investigating whether he is linked to a gang.
