JAIPUR: A 23-year-old woman and her alleged accomplice have been arrested for allegedly poisoning her husband in Jaipur as part of a pre-planned conspiracy, police said on Wednesday.According to police, Kavita Meena allegedly mixed poison in a glass of juice with the help of Ganesh Meena, 27, and gave it to her husband, Mahesh Meena.Deputy Commissioner of Police (Jaipur West) Prashant Kiran said Kavita took Mahesh on a motorcycle on August 5, telling him they were going to get medicines.Instead, she allegedly took him towards Nainath Dham, where she met Ganesh.The duo allegedly mixed poison into juice and gave it to Mahesh, the DCP said.When Mahesh’s condition deteriorated, Kavita allegedly took him on the motorcycle to Road No. 14 and called his brother, asking him to come there.Mahesh was subsequently taken to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead.Police formed a special team to investigate the case.Investigators examined CCTV footage, linked other evidence and questioned the suspects before arresting Kavita, 23, and Ganesh, 27, the DCP said.Considering the seriousness of the case, a special team was constituted.Police examined CCTV footage, linked evidence and questioned the suspects before arresting Kavita and Ganesh the DCP said.(With PTI inputs)
