Vadodara: A fire broke out on Wednesday afternoon after a piped natural gas (PNG) leak from a pipeline near Chetak Bridge in the Sama area of Vadodara.Flames were seen emanating from the pipeline laid by Vadodara Gas Ltd (VGL), prompting commuters to alert the fire brigade. A team from the Chhani fire station rushed to the spot and began efforts to control the blaze.VGL officials were also informed, and the gas supply in the affected pipeline was immediately shut to prevent the fire from spreading. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control within about 30 minutes.An ambulance was kept on standby as a precaution, while police personnel cordoned off the area to prevent commuters from approaching the site.
