The dog squad of PMC captured a suspected rabid stray dog from Preetam Nagar on Saturday saving lives of many

Prayagraj: Prayagraj Municipal Corporation’s (PMC) Animal Welfare department squad captured a suspected rabid stray dog, which was creating panic in Preetam Nagar for nearly 24 hours on Saturday noon.The dog reportedly turned aggressive and was attacking residents and other stray animals in the PDA colony. The situation worsened when it bit a man who came from Transport Nagar to meet a friend in the locality. Following a complaint, PMC’s Animal Welfare Officer Dr Vijay Amritraj immediately dispatched a dog-catching squad. Two young children from the locality, guided the team to the dog’s hiding place. The squad then safely captured the animal, preventing further attacks on residents..
