Times News NetworkChandigarh: A petty dispute over movement of vehicles at a CNG filling station escalated into a physical assault and knife attack.Complainant Akash Lakhera, a taxi driver from Adarsh Nagar, Nayagaon, Punjab, said he had gone to the CNG filling station in Sector 28 on the day of the incident.While he was waiting in queue, another taxi behind him allegedly began honking and an unidentified passerby asked him to move his vehicle forward. Akash claimed that he responded politely, saying he was already moving the vehicle. However, the man allegedly became aggressive, approached his taxi, and asked him to lower his voice.According to the complaint, the man allegedly punched him in the face. When Akash tried to defend himself, two or three more unidentified persons allegedly joined the attacker and began thrashing him.The complainant alleged that during the assault, one of the attackers attempted to stab him in the abdomen with a knife. He said he raised a leg to protect himself, causing the knife to strike his thigh.The accused allegedly fled from the spot after the assault. The injured taxi driver informed the police who took him to GMCH-32 for treatment. Police have registered a case against unknown persons.
