Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad experienced largely stable weather conditions on Friday, with a partly cloudy sky and comfortable temperatures through the day. The city recorded a maximum temperature of 31.4°C, which was 5.4 degrees below normal, while the minimum settled at 18.5°C, around 1.9 degrees below normal.Light rainfall of 1.6mm was recorded in the 24-hour period ending Friday morning, though no further precipitation was reported during the day. Relative humidity stood at 73% in the morning and dropped to 37% by evening. Across Gujarat, rainfall activity was more widespread, with many parts of North Gujarat and Saurashtra-Kutch receiving showers, while South Gujarat saw isolated rainfall. Temperatures dipped noticeably in several parts of the state following the influence of a western disturbance. Despite the overall dip, parts of Kutch remained relatively warmer, with the Kandla Port recording the highest maximum temperature in the state at 34.2°C, followed by Rajkot at 33.9°C. Most other cities, including Surat (32°C) and Vadodara (32.2°C), stayed closer to seasonal averages. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, Ahmedabad to remain partly cloudy for the next 24 hours. Temperatures are expected to gradually rise by 3-5°C over the next four days, with dry weather likely to prevail across the state after isolated light rain in parts of North Gujarat and Saurashtra on Saturday. No weather warnings have been issued for the state.
