Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Technical Fee Committee has announced new fees for 41 self-financed technical colleges that had sought a hike of more than 5%, granting them an average increase of up to 15% for degree colleges and up to 30% for diploma colleges. The revised fees will remain in effect for three years, with an annual 5% increase permitted in the subsequent two years.Navrachana University’s School of Business and Law, Vadodara, had sought a fee of Rs 2 lakh for MBA but has been granted Rs 1.66 lakh. The School of Management Studies and Liberal Arts, Vadodara, has been granted Rs 1.28 lakh for MBA. PP Savani University, Surat, sought Rs 2 lakh as fee for MBA through its School of Liberal Arts and Management Studies; the committee approved approximately Rs 1.20 lakh.For technical programmes, a fee of Rs 62,000 has been fixed for the self-financed pharmacy college in Navsari. Aditya Silver Oak College’s diploma engineering fee has been set at Rs 80,000. LJ Polytechnic, which sought Rs 70,000 for diploma engineering, has been granted Rs 55,000. RK University’s MPharm programme has been granted Rs 90,000.The fee revision process covers degree and diploma engineering, pharmacy, MBA, and MCA colleges. Under the committee’s rules, colleges seeking a hike below 5% were processed earlier. The current round addresses roughly 80-plus colleges that had sought higher increases — with fees for around 30-plus colleges announced in a prior round. The new fee structure applies from the current academic year.
