Ranchi, March 12 (IANS) In yet another crackdown on corruption in Jharkhand, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Thursday carried out trap operations in two districts, arresting a police sub-inspector in Koderma and a woman Panchayat secretary in Gumla for allegedly accepting bribes.

Gumla: Kiran Kusum Khalko, the panchayat secretary of Serka panchayat, was arrested by a team of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly taking bribe of Rs 8,000 on Thursday. Khalko was arrested taking bribe from one Parmeshwar Singh, who had filed for his dues for the construction of a well under a govt social welfare scheme. Singh had filed a complaint with the ACB after Khalko demanded bribe.
