Bengaluru: Panathur railway underbridge was inundated after Friday evening’s rain, with a cab that tried to drive through the stretch was floating in the water. Authorities pumped out floodwater from the underbridge until around 7pm.Friday’s flooding was the fourth such instance over the past four months. The stretch was flooded in June and again in Sept, raising questions about drainage infrastructure despite road-widening work.Residents have repeatedly flagged inadequate drainage around Panathur Main Road and the underpass, along with sewage overflow and potholes. In June, heavy rain left the stretch waterlogged for hours, with residents saying drainage improvements hadn’t kept pace with road widening.Waterlogging was also reported at Munnekolala near Marathahalli, near Hebbal junction and Bellahalli in north Bengaluru.
