Lucknow: Under the direct instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and the guidance of DGP Rajeev Krishna, the Uttar Pradesh Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) are successfully carrying out extensive security and disaster relief operations during the Magh Mela 2025–26, ensuring the safety, convenience, and peaceful participation of millions of devotees.The large-scale deployment is being executed under the supervision of ADGP Ramkrishna Swarnkar, with PAC nodal officer Sarvesh Kumar Mishra leading operations on the ground. Keeping in mind the spiritual significance of the Magh Mela and the massive influx of pilgrims, the PAC has adopted a phased and well-planned deployment strategy across the mela area.

A total of 16 PAC companies have been stationed at key locations in a structured manner. Of these, seven companies have been assigned law and order and crowd control duties, seven companies given flood relief and water-area security, while two companies have been posted for Govt Railway Police (GRP) duties to ensure safety along rail routes and stations connected to the mela.Additionally, considering the heightened sensitivity during the main bathing festivals, five extra PAC companies have been deployed to strengthen security arrangements and manage surging crowds.PAC personnel are actively maintaining constant surveillance at sensitive locations, and ensuring overall law and order. Anticipating potential emergencies, flood relief teams have been kept on high alert, conducting continuous river patrols, monitoring water levels, and carrying out swift rescue and relief operations whenever required. PAC jawans are also displaying notable humanitarian sensitivity, extending assistance and guidance to pilgrims.
