Dumka: The first Somvari of Rajkiya Shrawani Mela witnessed an unprecedented rush at Baba Baidyanath Temple in Deoghar on Monday, with the district administration estimating that over two lakh pilgrims would perform jalarpan by the end of the day.DC Saurabh Kumar Bhuwania and SP Praveen Pushkar visited the temple premises before the commencement of the offerings to review arrangements. The officials inspected the queue management system and key locations, and instructed magistrates, police personnel and mela officials to ensure seamless crowd movement and safety.“The administration had been closely monitoring the situation since the early hours and all departments were working in coordination to ensure devotees could complete darshan and jalarpan safely and without unnecessary inconvenience,” the DC said.
