Srinagar, Sep 22: At least 14,310 posts are at different stages of the recruitment process with the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) and Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB).
According to official data, accessed by Rising Kashmir, 13,051 posts are at different stages of the recruitment process with JKSSB while 6,319 posts, nearly half of the total, at the examination stage.
The department-wise figure shows that another 4,303 posts fall in the category of advertisements that have been closed, while 1,982 posts are yet to be advertised.
The selection process has been completed or is under process for 447 posts, the data reveals.
The figures indicate the sizeable recruitment pipeline currently being handled by the JKSSB, with thousands of posts moving through different stages ranging from advertisement to examination and selection.
The Home Department accounts for the largest number of posts at 3,861, followed by the General Administration Department with 2,988 posts and the Health and Medical Education Department with 1,543 posts.
Among the Home Department’s posts, 206 are listed under the “to be advertised” category, while 3,258 are at the examination stage and 309 have their advertisements closed.
The General Administration Department has 125 posts yet to be advertised, while 2,863 posts are listed under advertisements closed.
The Health and Medical Education Department has 178 posts to be advertised, 827 at the examination stage and 421 under advertisements closed, with 117 posts listed under the selection process.
The data also shows 768 posts in Finance, 664 in Jal Shakti, 646 in Forest, Ecology and Environment, 799 in Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and 646 in Forest, Ecology and Environment.
Meanwhile, separate JKPSC data shows 1,259 posts pending selection, taking the combined number of posts reflected in the two recruitment bodies’ statements to 14,310.
