Ganderbal, Oct 10: Outgoing Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal Jatin Kishore on Saturday bid farewell to the district administration following his transfer to Budgam, crediting officers and officials for the developmental and administrative achievements made during his tenure.
Speaking at a farewell function organised by the district administration, Kishore expressed gratitude to Team Ganderbal for its cooperation, dedication and collective efforts in implementing government programmes and addressing public concerns.
He said the progress achieved during his tenure was the result of coordinated efforts by officers and officials across departments.
Kishore urged the district administration to continue working with honesty, integrity and commitment, stressing that public welfare must remain the foremost priority in the discharge of official responsibilities.
He also emphasised the importance of maintaining accountability, strengthening coordination and ensuring effective delivery of public services.
During the function, officers from various departments appreciated Kishore’s administrative approach and his efforts towards improving governance, expediting developmental works and addressing public grievances.
They particularly highlighted his role in overseeing arrangements for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra and Mata Kheer Bhawani Mela, two major religious events requiring extensive administrative coordination.
Officials said his focus on planning, interdepartmental cooperation and monitoring had contributed to the smooth conduct of these events, particularly in ensuring the convenience, safety and welfare of pilgrims.
The officers also acknowledged his contribution towards the implementation and monitoring of Centrally Sponsored Schemes, flagship government programmes and developmental initiatives across Ganderbal.
They said Kishore had emphasised timely execution of projects, administrative transparency and ensuring that benefits under government schemes reached eligible beneficiaries.
Several officers recalled his accessibility and approach towards resolving public issues, besides his efforts to encourage coordinated functioning among different departments.
As a mark of appreciation, the district administration presented a memento to the outgoing Deputy Commissioner in recognition of his services during his tenure.
Kishore thanked officers and officials for their support and encouraged them to continue working collectively towards the district’s development.
The officers extended their best wishes to him for his new assignment as Deputy Commissioner Budgam.
The farewell function was attended by officers and officials of the district administration and various line departments.
