Lucknow: One person was injured when a speeding SUV ploughed into a highway eatery in Ahimamau area of the city during the wee hours of Sunday.The incident, which occurred around 1.45am, was caught on CCTV and the video of the incident went viral on social media.The police have seized the SUV and initiated an investigation. However, no arrests were made till reports last came in.Eyewitnesses said that the SUV first hit a parked car before ploughing straight into the ‘dhaba’ where several people were eating and waiting for their order.The vehicle hit a young man inside the eatery before crashing into the kitchen area.Locals claimed that the driver was consuming alcohol at the dhaba shortly before the accident.“The place turns into a drinking hub every night. People drink openly and create ruckus, but no action is taken,” a resident claimed.
