Bengaluru: Central crime branch sleuths arrested a man and launched a manhunt for others on charges of selling 181 tickets of recently held IPL matches in the black market.Chandrashekhar, who worked in the stadium canteen, is in police custody. Investigations revealed that a staffer of Chinnaswamy Stadium was also involved in the racket.According to a police press note, they discovered on Apr 15 that Chandrashekhar had purchased 100 tickets through ticketgenie. As many as 50 tickets each were purchased in the names of Swastik Heavy Engineering and Industrial Automation consultant company and Dharani computers. “Further investigations revealed that another person had purchased 81 tickets of different prices for the March 28 IPL match in the name of Swastik Heavy Engineering and Industrial Automation consultant company. They were sold for higher prices in the black market,” said the press note. “In this season, the accused had purchased 181 tickets through ticketgenie, costing Rs 17.5 lakh and sold them in the black market, it added.
