T’puram: Union minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said railways will run 100 special trains to Kerala from various parts of the country during Onam to clear the rush and there may be special services from Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad. He said in Delhi on Monday that details of these special trains, their schedule, routes and stops will be announced soon. BJP state chief Rajeev Chandrasekhar welcomed the move and said the trains will bring major relief to thousands of Malayalis who work and study in various parts of the country. “Coming home to celebrate Onam with family is every Malayali’s wish. By approving additional special trains, travel difficulties will be reduced. This decision is an example of people-centric governance that understands citizens’ sentiments,” he said
