Thiruvananthapuram: Om Prakash Mathur will be sworn in as the governor of Keralam on Friday.Chief justice of Kerala High Court Justice Soumen Sen will administer the oath to Mathur at the Lok Bhavan auditorium between noon and 12.30 pm.Mathur was governor of Sikkim. Born in Bedal village in Bali taluk of Rajasthan’s Pali district, he graduated from the University of Rajasthan.He entered public life as an RSS pracharak and has served as BJP’s general secretary in charge of Gujarat and as a Rajya Sabha member from Rajasthan.Mathur will be the 29th governor of Kerala, succeeding Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, who has been transferred to Tamil Nadu.
